Dali Salvadora
imagined by: James Mathias
Call me a sucker for a pretty face. Call me a big lug with a soft heart. It’s OK, I agree. I can’t resist a beauty, and I can’t turn down anything in need.

When we walked into the pet store last night in Cordy, I knew as soon as I saw the kittens that one would be coming home with us. When I saw Dali, that beautiful Calico, with her moustache and goatee, I knew we’d name her after my Favorite Painter.

After I asked the clerk how much the kittens cost and she said $55 out the door, I knew I’d be carrying a kitten into our house later. When I saw the children (not mine) run in and slam against Dali’s container and start slapping the glass relentlessly, I knew I had to start the process right then.

After we paid I asked the clerk to please hold Dali for a few minutes while I ran down to EB Games to locate a strategy guide for RE 4—no go there. But, on my way back I spied with my little eye my new Boston Celtics hat in Just Sports. I went in, had witty banter with another customer about painting his son’s room pink, bought it for too much and then went down to pick up our new family member, who just so happens to get along very well with her sister Trinity and about as well with her brother DK, who no one (other animals, we love him just fine) really likes cause he’s a tank, excited all the time and pushy.

Hah I love cats. We have 3. 1 which we’ve had for nearly 10 years, and then a brother and sis we foster through a local animal shelter. I’m sure Dali will love his new home.

Ohh…beautiful kitty! You and Amy have this wierd knack of getting wonderfully behaved cats (even one’s who are descendents of evil cats, aka Monkey). Jamie and I keep saying when we get a cat it has to be a clone of Trinity! We should have you guys come with us to pick out a cat…

If I’d known you were in the market I would have offered one (or five) of mine.
For the past months plus I’ve been enjoying a beautiful litter of marbled American Shorthairs, now 8 weeks old (short 4 days) and ready to leave the nest.
American Shorthairs are great in that they don’t meow. They twitter.
In preparation for total kitten freedom, I’ve ordered the CitiKitty Toilet Training Kit to train my three adults (two ASH and one Siamese).
Wish me luck …

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. I know we’ve talked about this several times.
Trin is not a decendant of Monkey’s.
She’s a granddaughter of our previous (Maggi gave her to lynn) cat named Johnny.

Oh…sorry Amy guess I forgot that you’ve told me that before (blame the dayquil). But Trinity was still in the same household as Monkey, right? I mean that alone could make a cat evil…

Beautiful cat.
Though I’ll stick with my big ol’ German Sheperd.

good job, guys. keep adding to your awesome family… our latest addition, fishy freddie fish the goldfish that miles won from the fair, only lasted a few days because that’s what goldfish do…

Thanks all, she is a pretty kitty and so far quite mellow for a kitten.
Playful and curious, but likes to cuddle which is odd.
Cat, sorry we didn’t really know we were in the market either.
Roger, cats are good too.
Rich! That’s too bad about your fishy. You guys still have a few cats right?

Sarah…Monkey lived in the house on mano, but never lived with lynn. Sorry.
Trin was lynn’s daughter’s ragdoll, so she was rescued from evil!

okay the whole monkey cat thing- Monkey went with dad to lynns and died before I took James and Amy’s amazing jonathon who was then pooter who was then money. That cat (as all cats since nasty) didn’t like gregg and I and really didn’t like Phaed so it started spending more and more time upstairs with dad and lynn. eventually it moved in with them.
So no- sarah- monkey didn’t live long enough to have decendents.

Oh, sorry I didn’t know that about monkey…guess I was wrong about the evil cat decendants…still want to clone Trinity though.

Yeah…so, let’s stop talking about it now. K?
Trin loves you and and Jamie lots. It’s weird, cause she’s not very people friendly.
OK that’s all.
