Pink for October

If you’ve been visiting leihu for a while you’ll be shocked to see me clad in pink, and may be left wondering what in the world is happening? Well, I’ll tell you.
I’ve joined the effort started by Pink for October to help spread the word about breast cancer awareness and the Susan G. Komen foundation. The idea is to change your website to a pink version for the entire month of October, in an effort to raise awareness.
When Matthew first sprang this idea over at 9rules, I immediately jumped on the wagon and flew my flag of support.
What you’re now viewing is the fruits of the labored nights and weekends of the last month.
Leihu in Pink… sorry Ana, had to be said.
Not a fan of the pink? not a problem, either go to the darkside, or go to the stuff page, scroll to the bottom and click the “hooray for boobies!” link, this will take you back to the default green and yellow theme.
If you use the darkside and want to see the pink theme I speak of, simply click the bloodspot on my head and it’ll take you to the pink, click my eye at anytime to return to the darkside.
All in all I hope people enjoy the pink version, and support it’s use for at least the next month.
Breast cancer is a terrible problem, and I for one want to help in anyway I can to raise awareness.

My eyes have been skimming the redesign for the past few minutes and with every pass I’m noticing another one of the little details you switched as well – it is pink and feminine… but impressive at the same time. Nice work, James!

Feminine is right, but I’m quite comfortable with my sexuality, so I can wear pink with confidence! Plus how do you stop a 300 pound gorilla from wearing pink? You don’t.

I really like the design, well done! Nice way to support a cause!
I hope you keep this design somewhere (like the dark side) once October is over, and build an archive of cool alternative styles people can use.

Fortunately I have the design setup for easy color changes so it only takes about 10 hours all told to do a new color scheme of this theme.

Hi, to return to the pink version simply click the bloodspot on my forehead from the darkside.
To return to the green version click the hooray for boobies link on the bottom of the stuff page.
