This morning I stumbled upon Tam’s web-site—OK, “stumbled upon” is misleading, as I go there purposefully quite often—and found this golden nugget of meme action, I was intrigued, and decided to steal it, as I sometimes do, but as I finished reading the article, I realized she’d tagged me. This means that, this time I stole nothing, I actually got handed this one. Enjoy.

Five Reasons I Blog: An Interweb Meme.

1.) For me

The first reason I blog at all, hell this is the most important reason. If I didn’t love writing and sharing my life, what point would there be? None, I say!

2.) For you

I blog for you the readers, I aim to entertain, enlighten and ultimately learn from you.

Without readers, no matter how much I love doing it, it would eventually become useless to continue.

My sincere thanks goes out to anyone who regularly comes here and puts up with me, without each of you, this thing I love wouldn’t exist.

3.) For Health

Blogging about my journey from Fat Village to Slim town has been a hard thing to do for my ego, but you’ve all made it so much easier and as time goes by it gets easier and easier for me to open up and spill my guts, something I’d hidden under layers of blubber for years and years.

Without blogging, this battle would surely have been lost.

4.) For Ego

I enjoy having my ego stroked off, who doesn’t?

Ultimately I don’t blog for fame, or popularity as much as to entertain and learn, but it does feel nice to be mentioned or gushed over or given high praise, just for doing what I do.

5.) For Prosperity

In a way this blog physically marks and remarks on a time in my life, that I hope to one day look back on fondly and say; “Good stuff jimmy!”

This is an archive—albeit digital—of an important phase of my overall journey, and I thank the universe everyday for making this a possibility.
