For this week’s NetFlix One Line Reviews I watched Into The Wild and Things We Lost In The Fire.

Slow week, one movie went to long wait and didn’t get shipped. Also to be clear I was not interested in either film I watched this week. Both sounded boring to me.

Into The Wild; “I love Sean Penn, he is one of my favorite actors, along side his brother Chris (RIP), but I was not at all interested in this film. After watching it, I felt weird, I felt like things were wrong. Like life was wrong and the way we choose to live it—in America especially—is wrong. Then I read up a little on Christopher, the real guy the movie is about and discovered a lot of things they don’t touch on in the movie. And now I remember that life, is what it is. And at times it can be hard and it can ebb and flow like an ocean, but that’s the way it’s supposed to go. Running away from your problems never ends well. In the end, this film did it’s job and it’s a good film, but it’s best to remember while watching that it’s just that. A film.”

Things We Lost In The Fire; “I get it. I really do. But I did not need a 2 hour film to remind me. Life sucks, shit happens, deal with it. Thanks Hollywood, you’ve successfully wasted my time and money again. Sorry Amy.”
