Been a while. I’m not entirely sorry either, I’ve been purposefully ignoring this site. Not that I don’t love it anymore, or that it’s going to go away completely, just been busy with other obligations and in general “life shit”.

So here is the rundown, for those of you following along. This is going to be long, so grab a beer or some milk and cookies and kick back.

Work

Many know that I’ve taken a full time Job in Nashville with a great company, awesome in fact. And those same folks must know I’m in the process of closing life out here in Idaho and making a trek East with family in tow.

The update here is that I started working remotely with Paramore Redd on May 1st, and it’s been amazing. I’m getting to work on cool stuff, and my opinions and expertise matter to the process. If I loved my job as a web developer before, now I’m in love with my job.

It’s been a real great start and I see a bright, bright future with the company.

House

Bah! Moving on. Yeah I’d like to.

Here’s the facts. House for sale for less than I owe, on market pushing 40 days price lowered once, no interest at all. In a short sale situation.

Unfortunately, a short sale is basically equivalent to a foreclosure as far as credit is concerned but in addition to the unfair credit hit, I’d also get a tax and immediate financial hit. All for trying to do the right thing.

Turns out a foreclosure, might be my best course of action in this situation.

I can’t afford the house without my job, and I can’t live in the house with my job. I can’t take a financial AND credit hit, but I have to take a credit hit no matter what, so better take that hit and leave the financial hit for another day.

By the by Banks are awesome.

Health

Still trucking along on my journey to Fit town, been on a layover from a nasty head cold for almost two weeks, but I see Monday as a good day to get back on track.

Family

Everyone is doing well, and happy, anxious to get out of Idaho and get to getting on in Nashville. But Happy.

Liam and Bryce just finished their school work for the 4th grade and kindergarten respectively. Very proud of me boys, and they don’t know it yet but I’m taking them to see Indiana Jones 4 tomorrow as a congrats!

Cameron is walking and babbling and falling and chipping teeth, don’t ask.

Amy is proud and tired and looking great! I love me lady.

Leihu

leihu is going to be closed and archived very soon, this is most likely the last post of it’s life, leihu had an amazing 7 year run, but for me it’s time to move on in more ways than one.

You will still be able to access and read all of leihu in it’s current state for the foreseeable future, you just won’t be able to comment or read anything new.
